PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Collaboration brings advanced robotic technology to job sites, backed by a new regional training facility for construction leaders and operators
Englewood, NJ and New Orleans, LA– March 9, 2026 – Okibo, a leader in construction robotic innovation, today announced a strategic trade partnership with Autonomous Workforce – AI Solutions LLC (AWF-AI). The agreement grants AWF operational coverage across the southern region of the United States and serves as a major milestone in Okibo’s broader U.S. expansion strategy.
The partnership kicks off with an initial deployment of four of Okibo’s autonomous robots. Demonstrating a mutual commitment to rapid scaling, Okibo and AWF-AI also have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to expand the fleet to up to ten robots by the end of the year.
“Adopting robotics is no longer just ‘in the future’; it’s about elevating our capabilities today,” said Cesar Espinoza, CEO of AWF-AI and industry veteran with more than 25 years of hands-on experience in the drywall finishing sector. “By integrating Okibo’s technology, we are setting new quality standards while driving true innovation on the job site. The value these autonomous systems bring to our workflow, our contractor partners, and our clients is transformative.”
The deployed Okibo systems will serve AWF-AI’s current and future internal construction projects while also providing on-demand support for additional contractors across the region. By integrating these advanced AI-guided systems, AWF-AI aims to deliver highly consistent, premium Level 4 and Level 5 drywall finishes—standards that traditionally require meticulous precision and significant manual labor.
Additionally, Okibo and AWF-AI plan to jointly establish a regional training center for robotics operators in the construction space. This facility will play a crucial role in facilitating scalable deployment and equipping the local construction workforce with the specialized skills needed to manage next-generation job site technology.
“Partnering with AWF-AI is a vital step in Okibo’s strategic regional expansion across the United States,” said Nadav Shuruk of Okibo. “Cesar’s deep industry expertise combined with AWF-AI’s vision makes them the ideal partner. Together, our planned deployment and the upcoming regional training center will ensure the scalable, successful integration of robotics into the southern construction market.”
