Construction robots for interior finishing
One autonomous robot, many trades. Okibo robots finish, sand, prime and paint walls and ceilings on their own, and each new trade is a new tool, not a new machine.

Applications available today
Each runs on EG7 or EG7+. Many contractors use one robot for several trades on the same project.
Wall and ceiling painting
Spray and roller painting of walls and ceilings, primer to finish coat, up to 24 ft high.

Drywall sanding
Level 4 and Level 5 sanding of walls, joints and ceilings, with an onboard dust collector.

Drywall finishing, Level 4 and 5
Level 4 finishing with a pump-fed mud box, Level 5 finish and joint taping.

High-speed coating (BLASTER™)
Synchronized dual-gun priming and painting for high-volume commercial surfaces.

Every application runs on the same robot and the same autonomy stack. What changes is the end effector on the arm and the module on the base, attached with a quick-change system. Pick a trade to see what the robot carries for it.

- Live 3D modelingThe robot models the room on the fly, with no prior scan.
- 5 mm localizationSix degrees of freedom, with no total station or markers.
- Automatic work planningSurfaces, order, tool poses and trajectories.
- Fully Battery PoweredNo cables, generators, or external power required.
- Performance DashboardLive job tracking, reporting, and performance insights.
One robot through the finishing schedule.
Interior finishing trades follow each other room by room. An Okibo robot can follow them too, switching tools between phases instead of handing the room to the next machine.
- TapingApplying joint tape and the initial coat of joint compound. *In tests, not commercially available yet.
- Joint Finishing (Level 4)Applying additional coats of joint compound, including with automatic flat boxes. *In field tests with selected customers.
- SandingSmoothing joints and preparing surfaces.
- Skim Coating (Level 5)Applying a thin finish coat across the entire drywall surface.
- PrimingApplying drywall primer or primer-sealer.
- Spray PaintingApplying the final paint coats, by spray painting with an airless machine.
- Roller PaintingHigher-quality painting. *In tests, not commercially available yet.
More trades are on the way.
Because the autonomy stack doesn’t change, each new application is a new end effector and a new work plan rather than a new robot. These are in development now.
Surface preparation
Cleaning and preparing substrates before they are coated.
Fireproofing
Spraying fire-resistive coatings on structural elements.
Spray foam and coatings
Insulation foams and protective coatings applied by spray.
Drywall installation
Handling and fixing boards, the step before finishing.
Flooring
Preparing and finishing floors.
Tiling
Placing tiles on walls and floors.
Questions about construction robots
What can Okibo construction robots do?
Okibo robots paint walls and ceilings, sand drywall to Level 4 and Level 5, apply Level 4 compound and Level 5 finishes, tape joints and spray-coat large surfaces with BLASTER™. More applications, from surface preparation to fireproofing, are in development.
Do I need a different robot for each trade?
No. EG7 and EG7+ run every application. Each trade uses its own end effector and base module, such as a spray gun with a paint hopper or a sanding head with a dust collector, attached with a quick-change system.
Does the robot need a BIM model, a site scan or markers?
No. The robot models the room on the fly as it works, plans the job itself and executes it. There is nothing to prepare and nothing to program.
Who operates the robot?
Your own crew, after onboarding by our team. Setup takes minutes: drive it in, load the material, position it at the first wall, choose the application and press start.
Where are Okibo robots available?
In the US and Europe. Use the form on this page to ask about availability for your project.
