Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Okibo collects through okibo.com (the “Website”), why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It covers the Website only, not Okibo robots or customer projects, which are governed by separate agreements.
Who we are
The Website is operated by Okibo Ltd., 9 Granit St, Petah Tikva 4951404, Israel (“Okibo”, “we”, “us”), which is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. Okibo’s group companies include Okibo Germany GmbH, Bildungscampus 1, 74078 Heilbronn, Germany, and our US team in Englewood, New Jersey. For questions about this policy, or to exercise your rights, write to info@okibo.com.
What we collect and why
When you request a demo or contact us
Our forms ask for details such as your name, work email, phone number, company, role, country and project information, and the content of your message. We use this to answer you, arrange demos and site visits, prepare offers and manage our business relationship with you. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
When you sign up for our newsletter
We collect your email address to send you Okibo news, such as deployments, new applications and company updates. We send it only with your consent. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing or writing to us.
When you browse the Website
Our hosting provider processes technical data needed to deliver the Website securely, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is necessary to run the Website and protect it against abuse.
If you allow analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how the Website is used, for example which pages are visited and how visitors arrive. If you allow advertising cookies, Google advertising tags may measure the effectiveness of our campaigns. Neither runs unless you accept them in the cookie notice. The legal basis is your consent.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use the following categories. Only necessary cookies are active by default. You choose the others in the cookie notice, and you can change your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
- Necessary: storing your cookie choice in your browser (
okibo_cookie_consent, kept until you clear it), and technical data our hosting provider needs to deliver the Website securely. - Functional: remembering preferences and embedded features. Videos on the Website are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode; when a video plays, YouTube (Google) may store information in your browser under its own policy.
- Analytics: Google Analytics cookies such as
_gaand_ga_*, kept for up to two years. - Advertising: Google advertising tags used to measure and personalise campaigns.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that process it on our behalf: HubSpot (forms, customer relationship management and email), Google (analytics and advertising tags, only with your consent, and embedded videos), Cloudflare (hosting and security), and providers of our business email and office software.
- Okibo group companies, including Okibo Germany GmbH and our US team, to handle enquiries and projects in your region.
- Authorities or other parties where the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
International transfers
Okibo is based in Israel, and some of our service providers process data in the United States and other countries. The European Commission recognises Israel as providing an adequate level of data protection. For transfers to countries without such recognition, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the recipient participates in it.
How long we keep it
- Demo and contact requests: for as long as we are in contact with you, and up to three years after our last contact, unless a business relationship or a legal obligation requires longer.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. We then keep only a record that you unsubscribed, so we do not email you again.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months in Google Analytics.
- Hosting and security logs: for the short periods our hosting provider needs to operate and protect the Website.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
- have inaccurate information corrected or incomplete information completed;
- have your information deleted, or its use restricted, in certain circumstances;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time;
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example to the newsletter or to analytics cookies.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@okibo.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we will respond within the time the law requires.
You may also complain to a data protection authority. In Israel this is the Privacy Protection Authority. In the European Union you can contact the authority where you live or work; for Okibo Germany GmbH, the competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg (LfDI Baden-Württemberg).
Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and reputable service providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Website is intended for business users and not for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Links to other websites
The Website links to other sites, such as news articles about Okibo. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make significant changes, we will make that clear on the Website.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Israel. This does not limit any rights you have under the mandatory data protection law of the country where you live.
